Owning this rimfire variant of the HK416 - the HK416 22LR Semi-Auto Rifle - is a terrific idea because the HK416 is one of the top AR-15 rifles favored by the military. The HK416 22 LR resembles the HK416 in appearance and feel. Buffer tubes become unnecessary with the 22LR recoil mechanism. The 16.5-inch threaded barrel is topped off with a flash hider and placed perfectly under a full-length, free-float, MLOK slotted rail. The receiver assembly and rail are all made of aluminum and feel closer to the 5.56 AR-15s when compared to other models, mostly made of plastic or polymer. While factory-mounted flip-up sights provide quick and simple target acquisition, a full-length 1913 Picatinny rail is ready for a large number of aftermarket optics and other rail-mounted attachments.
